Within the framework of the "STEAM Azerbaijan" project, the "Makerthon 2021" competition was held among schoolchildren for the first time.
Makerthon is a series of events where makers (producers) unite in teams to solve various problems, develop projects and compete. The origin of the word is related to the English words "maker" and "marathon" and means "marathon of makers".
The main goal of Makerton is to create various ideas, new innovative solutions and tools, as well as to test knowledge and gain new knowledge in competitive conditions, to create conditions for cooperation.
In the "Makerthon 2021" competition held for the first time among schoolchildren, the 1st place was awarded to Astara city No. 1 secondary school with the "Smart bridge" project, 2nd place to Baku city No. 173 secondary school with the "Smart house" project, 3rd place 3 projects were awarded to Ganja Physics, Mathematics and Informatics Oriented Lyceum with the "Smart House" project, Shirvan City Chemistry, Biology Oriented Republican Lyceum (STEAM Center) with the "Parking" Project, Baku City No. 67 Secondary School with the "Radar" Project seen. In total, 204 teams participated in the competition.
It should be noted that the "STEAM Azerbaijan" team and the Educational Institute of the Republic of Azerbaijan were represented in the jury of the competition.
